Summary: We collect only what we need to run the calculator and process Pro orders. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. Your recipe inputs are processed server-side and not stored beyond the session unless you save them as a Pro user.
1. Who We Are
SoapCalc.pro ("we", "us", "our") is an online soap lye calculator and formulation tool operated at soapcalc.pro. For any privacy questions, contact us at Email.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Information you provide
Account registration: email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
Pro orders: name, contact details, and payment confirmation shared via WhatsApp or email when you purchase a Pro pass. We do not process card payments directly — payment is handled externally.
Saved recipes (Pro): oil blends, weights, superfat, water settings, and notes you choose to save to your account.
Support messages: any information you share when contacting us by email or WhatsApp.
2b. Information collected automatically
Calculator inputs: oil selections and weights sent to our server API to compute results. These are processed in real time and not retained after the response is returned, unless you explicitly save the recipe.
Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — standard server logs retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
Cookies: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a preference cookie for your unit and lye-type settings. No tracking or advertising cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
To operate the calculator and return lye calculation results.
To manage your account and Pro access.
To respond to your support messages.
To detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent use.
To improve the tool based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
Service providers: hosting and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
Legal requirements: if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
Saved recipes are retained until you delete them or your account is closed.
Server logs are retained for 30 days then automatically deleted.
Unsaved calculator sessions are not stored.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
Export your saved recipes in a portable format.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

7. Security
We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Passwords are stored as hashed values — never in plain text. Our server-side calculation architecture means your oil database and formulation logic never leave the server. We review security practices regularly, but no system is completely immune to risk.
8. Children
SoapCalc.pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Third-Party Links
Our site may link to external sites (suppliers, references, community forums). We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify registered users by email. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
